IMAS

This is the motto of the International Music Academy for Soloists – IMAS for short – which has been organizing masterclasses for young musicians from all over the world for over forty years. As the artistic director, I have been responsible for the content orientation of IMAS since 2022. Over the course of a week, IMAS organizes four parallel masterclasses with a large final concert and many thematic activities. Lessons with outstanding professors, the special castle atmosphere, accommodation with host families, and last but not least, the low participation fee make the IMAS masterclasses particularly attractive for the participants.

SCHAUMBURGER CASTLE CONCERTS

The Schaumburger Castle Concerts were founded with the aim of establishing a concert series of international appeal in the ballroom of Bückeburg Castle. On five concert evenings during the season, we bring internationally renowned and outstanding instrumental soloists to the Schaumburg region. For me, as the artistic director of the castle concerts, the involvement of the younger generation in the classical concert scene plays a decisive role. In the context of cooperation projects with local schools, the concert programs are prepared with the artists. Artist talks during the concerts also create a personal connection and closeness to the audience. In this way, we aim to culturally rediscover the region and create musical offerings beyond the established cultural metropolises. The audience is offered a diverse program that includes all styles and epochs.

Chamber Lab

The piano chamber music academy "Chamber Lab" in Montecastelli, Italy, supports young musicians in founding new ensembles with high artistic potential. During the ten-day academy in the beautiful surroundings, participants meet many chamber music partners. Professional and social contacts can be made, and foundations can be laid for permanent ensembles. Chamber Lab offers a versatile concept with chamber music lessons, sight-reading sessions, concert performances, and academic lectures. The academy is generously supported by the Guadagnini Foundation and the LOEWE Foundation. Additionally, the German Foundation for Musical Life awards three full scholarships to selected participants.

LOEWE FOUNDATION

The LOEWE Foundation was founded in 2017 and is dedicated to promoting music, fine arts, and animal welfare. As a member of the foundation's board of trustees, I volunteer in the field of music. My tasks include evaluating and selecting artists, projects, and institutions that are financially supported by the LOEWE Foundation. The LOEWE Foundation now looks back on a broad portfolio of projects that have been supported with great responsibility and sustainable commitment.
